| HyperWerk - Processing workshop - January 2004 |
| Introduction
This workshop will present the Processing tool as well as give an introduction to the use of programming as a design tool. Instead of being an obstacle, programming gives rise to new opportunities and new ways of thinking about design and the design process. By learning how to program, we learn to question pre-existing solutions and develop methods for exploiting the unique possibilities in digital media.

Workshop exercises
All exercises (with source).
You will need a ZIP utility to deliver exercises. For Mac OS X, download Zippist. For Windows, download WinRAR or similar. Export your program to an applet and zip the result applet folder after renaming according to the following naming convention: Code for the exercise and your name - "CODE_YourName", i.e. "DF01_Watz". Only send one program per exercise. |

Postscript programming
I've written a library called SimplePostscript that allows you to write Postscript files from inside Processing. I've included some general links to Postscript information.
