Assignment 1

The following tasks are to be completed by Monday 26 May. Please email them (in ZIP format, use DropZip or similar and include either the full folder or just the PDE file) to amoeba@evolutionzone.com before 12:00 noon on Monday. We will critique them in class.

1. Draw a static flower shape. Use a combination of stroked and and filled shapes (all drawing commands are allowed.) The shape should have some random aspects, so that it is different every time you start the program.

2.

Draw an animated flower shape that changes over time. Use a combination of stroked and and filled shapes (all drawing commands are allowed.) Some aspect of the shape must be affected by the user's interaction through the mouse.

Name your files as follows: "udk_01"+your family name+"_"+number of task, i.e. "udk_01_watz_1". It's silly, I know, but it makes it easier to know who made what and for what assignment. I might decide to post assignment results online later, so include a comment in the file with your name.

Remember that you can use the online Processing reference and learning sections for reminders of how to use certain commands or to learn new ones.

Have fun, people.
